What Happens Next

As we are often asked "what happens next"', for avoidance of doubt, we have decided to list these.

For Start ups / Pre-revenue

PHASE A

  • stage 1: Business Assessment test
  • stage 2: Result Review with analyst (1 hour)
  • stage 3: This includes advice on coaching / mentoring if needed. For Pre-revenue business, you will be required to present and demonstrate your business. (Please refer to the section in our website to see the advantages of having extensive mentoring and coaching prior to meeting an investor / investors.

Providing that the Assessment test proves satisfactory, by this we mean "GREEN" you will move on to phase B

PHASE B

You will be assigned an Analyst, who will then carry out extensive due diligence drawing from the knowledge of industry experts both internal and external. It is essential that investors can see what they are looking for to ensure the project will produce a return on their investment. Having worked with a range of investors, the analysts are familiar with the questions that will need to be answered and can thus ask them first, preparing you for when the investors ask them. Typically this may take anything from 6 to 8 weeks depending on the level of work to be carried out. There is a separate charge for this which currently sits at £1000 for Start up and Pre-revenue businesses only.

PHASE C

Often times, an investor / investors may want to see the team behind the business they wish to invest in and require them to do a presentation. In any case, we would always liaise on your behalf. The investor / investors are presented with your project or business and we would make special emphasis on the fact that the business has been put through the business assessment test and due diligence, along with the fact that you have been mentored and coached right up to this stage. The investor / investors will arrange the necessary legal documents required and if any, the percentage stakes they are comfortable in investing. The investor/s will set a draw down date of when funds can be transferred.

Remember, investors want to invest therefore the onus is on you to make the investor comfortable. Our fee is set at 5% of the total funding amount.

ESTABLISHED Business

PHASE A

Register for your required funding amount.
After your registration is complete, you will be assigned with an Analyst. He / She will contact you to arrange a meeting either face-face or Video conference. Your project / business will be discussed and they will send or e-mail to you our investment package.

PHASE B

Upon receipt of the necessary documents that were asked for by your Analyst, he / she will forward them to the due diligence team. The team will again make contact with you and discuss your project and the procedures they will follow in getting you in front of an investor/s. These will include the internal / external due diligence. They know what the investors will be looking to see. The benefit is that they are working on your behalf at all times and seeing to it that they act in your best interest. They will confirm with investor/s any concerns they have and ways to address them, so that they are comfortable in investing. This process can take up to 6 to 12 weeks depending on the level of work.

PHASE C

Applies across the board, whether Start ups, Pre-revenue or an Established business is involved.
